How to Remove a Carpet Stain

 

To remove a stain from your carpet, you can use a carpet stain remover or a carpet cleaning machine.  To use a carpet stain remover, pour a small amount of the carpet stain remover on the stain.  Then, blot the stain with a clean, soft cloth.  Follow up with a carpet cleaning machine.

 

Alternatively, you can use a mixture of three parts hot water, one part vinegar, and one part ammonia to remove a carpet stain.  Start by wetting the stain thoroughly.  Mix the three ingredients and apply the mixture to the carpet.  Rub it in thoroughly.  Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, then use a clean, damp rag to remove it.
